I trust you

I had to post this. This is beautiful young Jasirah, an Aboriginal girl from north of Broome in a community called One Arm Point, or Bardi, Western Australia. She came to Cottesloe Beach, WA, to take this risk as part of the youth-run  ICEA, the Indigenous Communities Education & Awareness Foundation.

It is powerful stance; such an arms open, vulnerable position, and could not fail to draw attention. But what a message.

It is an act that raises awareness about making a human connection, no matter who you are, what you look like, casting away everything that defines you except the thread of humanity.

It is so lovely, and it made me cry.
